Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Developing a micro-service-based cloud network monitoring responsive Web UI and backend APIs for the Active Assurance part of the Network Automation suite with an accent on UI, Golang, and Kubernetes. Focus on building scalable monitoring tools from the ground up, implementing micro-frontends, and optimizing CPU performance and bandwidth utilization.

Location: Hybrid: Average 2 days per week from an HPE office in Massachusetts, USA

Salary: $120,500 - $228,500 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement micro-service-based cloud network monitoring responsive Web UIs and corresponding backend APIs using Golang, Python, and Postgres.
• Deploy and manage applications within a Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Contribute to the integration and testing of developed applications to ensure high product quality.
• Develop network monitoring applications utilizing Juniper router data.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues found in-process and escalations from the field.
• Document software designs and procedures while following proper engineering processes.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of proficiency in Javascript, React, Node, and Golang.
• Experience with micro-frontends and implementing responsive web designs.
• Hands-on experience developing, debugging, and deploying software on Linux operating systems.
• Experience with infrastructure components such as Postgres, Kafka, ElasticSearch, or Redis.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Massachusetts office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with nginx and analytics platforms like Grafana, Kibana, and open-source collectors.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and newer RESTful API specifications.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and distributed systems.
• Ability to develop multi-threaded applications and address CPU/Bandwidth utilization in scalable systems.
