What you will do

• Design and execute database and schema migrations, including the development of rollback strategies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines from ingestion through to reliable, queryable outputs.
• Set up and maintain observability across data and application layers, including logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and safe deployments.
• Own the infrastructure layer on Azure, managing environments, configuration, secrets, and networking.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Azure managed services.

Requirements

• Production experience with database migrations and data pipelines within regulated or financial environments.
• Proficiency with modern data tooling such as dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Azure managed services.
• Strong understanding of observability tooling across data and application layers.
• Ability to operate as the sole data reliability and platform function within a small, fast-moving team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices, specifically Terraform.
• Familiarity with agentic development workflows or AI-assisted tooling.
• Prior experience preparing data systems for handoff to larger operations or platform teams.
