Okta Technical Consultant (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and implement Okta Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC), including SSO, MFA, and Adaptive Authentication.
• Integrate Okta with SaaS, cloud, and on-premises applications using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Configure Okta Lifecycle Management (LCM) and define automated joiner-mover-leaver (JML) processes.
• Implement Okta Identity Governance (OIG) capabilities, including access requests and certifications.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery within scope and budget.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise IAM solutions.
• 2–4+ years of hands-on experience configuring and implementing Okta WIC.
• Strong knowledge of identity protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience integrating Okta with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Must be based in Arizona or Illinois, USA.

Nice to have

• Okta certifications (Professional, Administrator, or Consultant) or an OIG badge.
• Experience with Okta Identity Engine (OIE) and advanced authentication policies.
• Knowledge of IGA tools like SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow or CyberArk.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX, ISO, or GDPR.
• Experience with scripting, automation, or Okta API integrations.
