Coding Specialist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Full-time Remote (US-based, E-Verify participation)

Compensation: $29.00-$33.00 hourly

What you will do

• Code interventional procedures along with professional component for imaging modalities (MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, radiography, image-guided procedures).
• Provide education and training to physicians, providers, and teammates on coding and clinical documentation.
• Communicate with nursing and ancillary services for necessary documentation to ensure accurate coding.
• Deliver real-time feedback to Radiologists on proper coding and documentation of services.
• Serve as primary liaison for provider and department contact regarding documentation deficiencies and clarifications.

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years coding interventional radiology experience
• CIRCC certification required (preferred in addition: RCC, CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA)
• Understanding of healthcare industry regulations and experience abstracting CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources
• Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with Radiology staff
