CAD Drafter III (PTC Creo)

CAD Drafter III (PTC Creo/Windchill): Develops, maintains, and releases complex 3D parametric models, 2D drawings, and Model-Based Definition datasets for ground support equipment with an accent on mechanical/structural, fluid, and electrical disciplines. Focus on leading design efforts for steel frameworks, piping routes, cabling systems, managing large assemblies, and championing AI-assisted tools and process improvements.

What you will do

• Exercise ownership over complex design tasks and subsystems using PTC Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM
• Develop and maintain advanced Model-Based Definition datasets and champion best practices
• Lead mechanical/structural designs including steel frameworks, weldments, and lifting systems using Creo AFX
• Lead fluid system designs including piping, tubing, manifolds, and P&ID support using Creo Piping
• Drive electrical system designs including enclosures, cable routing, and panels using Creo Cabling
• Manage large-scale CAD assemblies with advanced techniques and author Engineering Change Requests
• Leverage AI tools, perform peer reviews, and contribute to tool/process development

Requirements

• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or asylee
• 2-year AS in Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent; or 4-year BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
• 5+ years in technical design role with PTC Creo (or Pro/ENGINEER) and Windchill PLM
• Experience creating fabrication/installation drawings for complex assemblies
• Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41, GD&T application
• Experience with large CAD assemblies, engineering change management, PLM workflows
• Ability to work autonomously in dynamic environment

Nice to have

• 5–8 years aerospace or heavy industrial design experience
• Strong Creo AFX, Piping/ProPiping, Cabling experience
• MBD implementation per ASME Y14.41
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3, piping components, manufacturing processes
• GSE experience, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
• AI tools for design automation
