Salary: $135,000–$155,000 + bonus up to 6%

What you will do

• Develop and implement research strategies aligned with DPRIT priorities in collaboration with leadership and partners.
• Identify and advance collaboration opportunities to accelerate dementia research, prevention, and care innovation.
• Convene meetings, workshops, and forums with universities, health systems, and community partners.
• Build relationships with academic investigators, clinicians, and policymakers statewide.
• Provide scientific expertise to inform funding priorities and monitor emerging research trends.
• Communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences and represent the Association at events.

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in neuroscience, public health, biomedical sciences, or related field
• 5–10+ years research, clinical research, or research administration experience
• Demonstrated experience with academic, clinical, or research institutions
• Proven ability to build partnerships and lead cross-organizational initiatives
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Texas

Nice to have

• Experience with state-level research initiatives or public-private partnerships
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or aging research
• Experience convening multidisciplinary stakeholders or leading collaborative networks
• Experience in nonprofit, foundation, or research funding environments
