Associate Director DMPK (Biotech)

TL;DR

Associate Director DMPK (Biotech): Accountable for non-clinical pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism in drug discovery and development programs for small and large molecules with an accent on strategy, execution, and vendor oversight. Focus on designing and interpreting DMPK/PK/PD studies, authoring regulatory submissions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Location: Fully remote from anywhere. Occasional travel (5–15%) for team meetings or events.

Salary: $164,000–$213,000 Annual

What you will do

• Serve as DMPK lead on project teams, responsible for strategy and execution of non-clinical drug metabolism programs.
• Design, analyze, and interpret DMPK and non-clinical PK/PD studies.
• Support TK study design and data interpretation.
• Author DMPK sections for regulatory submissions including INDs, CTAs, and NDAs.
• Provide oversight for CROs on in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies.
• Partner with Research, Toxicology, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Project Management.

Requirements

• PhD in pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline with 8+ years in biotech/pharma drug discovery and development.
• Expertise in in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies.
• Experience vetting and collaborating with CROs.
• Ability to plan, organize, and critically assess PK/PD data analyses.
• Experience preparing DMPK sections of regulatory submissions.
• Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Previous involvement in drug Discovery and Development programs.
• Familiarity with protein therapeutics, antisense oligonucleotides, or gene therapies.
• Hands-on experience with Phoenix WinNonlin, NONMEM, R, or ADME prediction software.
