TL;DR

Principal Researcher, Prescription Drug Policy (Healthcare): Leading complex CMS/CMMI prescription drug policy research and driving federal business development with an accent on drug pricing and payment models. Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote or Hybrid in Arlington, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Sacramento, or Austin)

Salary: $155,700 - $190,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead project and task execution and business development for CMS and the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI).
  • Direct the execution of large, complex projects or portfolios, overseeing planning, design, and implementation.
  • Provide senior subject matter expertise on prescription drug prescribing, pricing, and rebate programs.
  • Lead proposal efforts, including technical review, briefings, and client relationship development.
  • Serve as an industry expert for alternative payment models and value-based reimbursement.
  • Coach and manage staff to promote their professional development.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (employment-based visa sponsorship is not available).
  • Ph.D. in Economics, Health Services Research, Pharmacoeconomics (or related) with 7+ years experience, or a Master's degree with 11+ years experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience leading or managing large federal contracts.
  • Direct experience with CMMI alternative payment model contracts or CMS drug pricing programs.
  • Proven track record of winning new business with CMS, AHRQ, or other HHS agencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare payment policy, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid.
