What you will do

• Prepare and record journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations ensuring SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide documentation for audited financial statements.
• Support the team in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing deadlines.
• Take ownership of audits for non-profit entities and ensure correct government filings.
• Partner with business stakeholders to review financial trends and support process improvements.
• Provide hands-on support for various accounting projects and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent practical accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and adjust to changing priorities.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL.
