TL;DR
Rectification & Remediation Lead (Fintech): Leading the end-to-end design, governance, and delivery of complex rectification and remediation programmes across the Corporate & Institutional Banking division with an accent on control weaknesses, customer detriment assessment, and redress design. Focus on solving systemic issues through root cause analysis and ensuring regulator-defensible resolution of risk.
Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh, Birmingham, London). Must spend at least two days per week (40% of time) at an office site.

What you will do
- Define and own the Rectification & Remediation framework to ensure programmes are scoped and delivered to regulatory timelines.
- Lead end-to-end remediation delivery, including back-book remediation, customer detriment assessment, and redress implementation.
- Establish consistent portfolio governance and provide executive-level MI and reporting for Board-level committees.
- Act as the senior point of contact for material regulatory, audit, and customer risk issues.
- Oversee large, complex cross-functional programmes involving Risk, Audit, Legal, and Operations.
- Build and lead a high-performing remediation function, coaching the team to embed a culture of accountability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading complex remediation or rectification programmes in a financial services environment.
- Strong capability in assessing systemic customer detriment and translating it into a clear remediation approach.
- Experience designing redress methodologies and ensuring consistent application of agreed frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead root cause analysis to ensure issues do not recur.
- Expertise in senior stakeholder management and providing credible challenge to business leaders.
- Ability to maintain robust closure evidence and records to support regulatory assurance.
