What you will do
- Develop and optimize framework internals, including rendering, caching, routing, and build systems.
- Build and maintain developer tooling and comprehensive documentation.
- Integrate platform features and refine user-facing product behavior.
- Collaborate within a highly distributed team, emphasizing strong written communication and ownership.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in React.
- Background in framework development, developer tooling, or product infrastructure.
- Comfort working across frontend, backend, build tooling, and runtime systems.
- Strong product sense and a dedicated focus on developer experience.
- Ability to investigate complex technical problems and reason from first principles.
- Must be based in the USA (Compensation based on San Francisco, CA, but adjustable by location).
Nice to have
- Experience maintaining open source projects.
- Experience with compilers, bundlers, caching, rendering systems, or distributed infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Next.js.
