TL;DR

Customer Service Representative - Life & Health (Insurance): Providing support to insureds, carriers, and partners regarding coverage, claims, and billing with an accent on accurate issue resolution and professional communication. Focus on managing inbound/outbound interactions, maintaining CRM documentation, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $17.50 - $17.80 Hourly

A leading insurance wholesaler and program manager acting as one of the largest intermediaries in the United States.

What you will do

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and inquiries from customers and carriers in a professional manner.
  • Process policy changes, client requests, and updates received via phone, mail, or email.
  • Maintain accurate and complete customer service documentation within the CRM system.
  • Identify and communicate process improvements and recurring issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Meet or exceed individual performance goals related to SLA, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree preferred).
  • 1 to 2 years of customer service or call center experience.
  • Must be based in the US.
  • Life & Health license (IL) preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Experience in the insurance, healthcare, or financial services industry preferred.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking customers.
