Salary: $102,000 - $160,650

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance complex backend software systems and data pipelines using Hadoop.
• Build microservices-based architectures, defining service boundaries, APIs, and communication patterns.
• Containerize services using Podman or Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes environments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Perform requirements analysis from system level down to individual services and modules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver incremental value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics.
• Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in software engineering, modernization, or solution architecture.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship/Person status (ITAR/EAR compliance).
• Strong Java development skills for backend and service-layer implementations.
• Practical experience with RESTful services, Kubernetes, and Hadoop.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying applications in AWS or hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI).
• Familiarity with observability tools for distributed systems (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments.
