Salary: $125,000 - $215,000

What you will do

• Own and evolve foundational systems, specifically Enterprise APIs, authentication, and account management.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for enterprise use cases and external integrations.
• Collaborate with design and analytics to translate ambiguous product needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and influence the technical direction, system architecture, and implementation standards.
• Develop systems with high emphasis on security, privacy, reliability, and correctness.
• Establish engineering foundations, including documentation, operational practices, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend development.
• Experience building production backend systems and RESTful APIs, preferably using Java.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and identity/account management concepts.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and cloud environments (AWS).
• Ability to work across the stack and contribute to web applications (e.g., React).
• Must be based in or be prepared to relocate to Boston, MA.
