TL;DR
Sr. Engineer, Platform Threat Intelligence (Cybersecurity): Analyzing adversary tactics and malware to strengthen platform trust and security for education systems with an accent on intelligence-to-action translation and detection measurement. Location: Remote (USA). Candidates near offices may choose hybrid (two days per week on-site).
Salary: $153,000 - $166,000

What you will do
- Collect, curate, and analyze threat intelligence, including malware design trends, to derive risk insights and defensive priorities.
- Assess adversary behaviors and operational trends to identify defensive and investigative opportunities.
- Translate intelligence findings into security requirements and hardening priorities for engineering teams.
- Produce high-confidence written assessments and briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Improve the quality of security-relevant signals and analytic outputs to support detection and measurement efforts.
- Partner cross-functionally with Data Science, engineering, and operational stakeholders to integrate outputs into workflows.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is required.
- 5–8 years of experience in threat intelligence, security engineering, or security research.
- Demonstrated capability in Windows malware analysis.
- Proficiency with Python and at least one additional language for automation or prototyping.
- Strong fundamentals in operating systems, networking, and attacker tradecraft.
- Ability to speak Mandarin and read/write Chinese (Traditional and/or Simplified) is strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Vietnamese language proficiency.
- Understanding of regional communication norms and online ecosystems relevant to threat research.
