Systems Engineer II (GPS)

What you will do

• Develop and sustain mission-critical software delivering PNT data to U.S. Navy surface ships.
• Create and execute automated and manual test procedures to validate military GPS-based systems.
• Organize system requirements and perform verification and validation (V&V) tasks.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers to resolve integration issues.
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define system and subsystem requirements.
• Communicate daily status, achievements, and blockers to team leads and teammates.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is strictly required.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, switches/routers, and basic electronic circuitry.
• Proficiency in software scripting languages.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience developing and conducting automated and manual test procedures.

Nice to have

• Active and transferable U.S. government SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with the full systems engineering lifecycle (definition, analysis, decomposition, V&V).
• Ability to evaluate and mitigate technical risks.
• Familiarity with military tactics, techniques, and procedures.
