TL;DR

Senior Accountant (SaaS): Managing GL accounting processes and close activities for a government-focused ERP platform with an accent on financial reporting, audit preparation, and policy maintenance. Focus on driving timely financial results, improving internal controls, and supporting M&A integration.

Location: On-site in Chicago, IL (4 days per week)

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

What you will do

  • Own day-to-day GL accounting for accruals, fixed assets, leases, prepaids, and intangibles.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to support business scaling and technical guidance.
  • Partner with FP&A and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare support for external audits and provide financial insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and support acquisition integration activities (M&A).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting or high-growth SaaS.
  • Solid command of US GAAP, financial statements, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills.
  • Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Chicago, IL.

Nice to have

  • CPA license or active CPA candidate.
  • Specific experience with accruals, fixed assets, partner fees, leases, and prepaids.
