What you will do

  • Program and integrate PLC systems using Siemens and Allen Bradley.
  • Manage Fanuc Robotics and Siemens/Fanuc CNC systems.
  • Design and install electrical control systems for high-quality castings production.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions for existing programs.
  • Support Throughput Improvement (TIP) and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach others on control-related technical issues.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Saginaw, MI (3rd shift and weekends).
  • GM does not provide immigration sponsorship (H-1B, TN, OPT, etc.) now or in the future.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with electrical/control systems in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, Ethernet, and DeviceNet.
  • Technical knowledge of servo motors, motion control, and drives.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution.
