What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack services for the B2B platform as a subject matter expert.
• Contribute to critical architectural components and prototypes to shape the technical direction.
• Lead feature-driven sub-teams and mentor junior and mid-level engineers via code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to align development with customer needs and surface risks.
• Champion DevOps practices, improving CI/CD, automation, and observability.
• Lead testing strategies and ensure security standards are upheld based on OWASP.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on full-stack engineering experience across client and server layers.
• Proficiency in Node/TypeScript, React, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
• Proven experience mentoring and leading development teams or feature squads.
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK (hybrid)

Nice to have

• Experience in media, audio streaming, or consumer platform industries.
• Familiarity with 24/7 supported services and incident management.
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering tools like Copilot or Claude.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
