What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain device drivers, libraries, and management utilities for Emulex host bus adapters.
• Collaborate with OEM partners on requirements and implement partner-specific customizations.
• Triage and resolve escalated technical issues directly for OEM partners and end users.
• Author and review technical documentation, including integration guides and user manuals.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years.
• 3+ years specifically in Linux device driver development.
• Strong proficiency with Linux kernel mode driver development and debugging tools (gdb, kgdb, crash, ftrace).
• Solid understanding of storage networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SCSI, FC, FCoE, and NVMe.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams alongside firmware and hardware engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux user-space or kernel-space target frameworks (SPDK, LIO, SCST).
• Experience collaborating with maintainers in the Linux community.
• Ability to interpret protocol analyzer traces (Wireshark, PCI, FC analyzers).
• Knowledge of UEFI specifications and driver development using DXE.
• Familiarity with Jira or Bugzilla.
