Security Engineer (Google Cloud)

Security Engineer (Google Cloud): Collaborating with account teams to assess customer cybersecurity needs and deliver Google Security solutions with an accent on SecOps SIEM/SOAR, Threat Intelligence, Security Command Center, and Cloud Security. Focus on developing use cases, demos, and pre-sales support to enable business through security technology.

Location: US - Remote (Preferred: Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ; near major Google office hub and airports)

Salary: $150,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Achieve and maintain Tier 1 Google Partner Delivery Readiness for Cloud Security, SCC, SecOps, and Threat Intelligence.
• Collaborate with account teams and client contacts (CIO, CSO, CISO) to evaluate cybersecurity needs and strengthen relationships.
• Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solutions through training and develop collateral for sales engagements.
• Build use cases and demos in SHI lab to support pre-sales for Google Security portfolio.
• Provide customer-facing demos, proofs-of-concept, and pre-sales functions.
• Stay current on technology trends and expand knowledge through self-study and lab work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
• 3-5 years in similar role; 5+ years in technical cybersecurity; 3+ years in Security Pre-Sales Consulting
• Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events
• Intermediate knowledge of security technologies: firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, identity management.
• Intermediate proficiency in network protocols, security concepts, and vendors like Okta, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Proofpoint.
• Intermediate experience with cloud security frameworks, compliance, and governance.
