Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and management of cloud security controls across Google Cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, driving subsequent remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies and standards aligned with NIST and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, SRE, and product teams to implement secure infrastructure and network changes.
• Support DevOps teams with secure deployment practices, automation, and cloud security tooling.
• Monitor network activity, investigate threats, and respond to security incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in security or cloud engineering, specifically focusing on cloud and network security.
• Hands-on experience securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Strong understanding of virtual networking, routing, subnetting, and access controls.
• Experience with scripting and infrastructure automation tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with NIST, CCM, and SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
