What you will do

• Design, develop, and test operating system components and software utilities for industrial equipment.
• Determine systems software design requirements and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve software and program issues on automation and mechatronic systems.
• Validate new equipment software and maintain robust backup and recovery programs.
• Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and train colleagues on software upgrades.
• Prepare and maintain documentation in alignment with quality system changes affecting equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of industrial experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven troubleshooting experience with PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Vision, and Drives.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Athlone, Ireland

Nice to have

• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron PLC/HMI control systems.
• Programming experience with Staubli, Kuka, Fanuc, or Universal industrial robots.
• Knowledge of Cognex, Omron, or Keyence industrial vision systems.
