TL;DR

Payroll Expert (SAP/Managed Payroll Services): End-to-end ownership of country-specific payroll delivery ensuring compliance, quality, and stability with an accent on local regulations, client interfacing, and operational support. Focus on leading payroll implementations, transitions, managing SIT/UAT/parallel runs, and driving automation and continuous improvements.

Hybrid with flexible hours and remote opportunities. Fluency in local country language required. Workation from any hirify.global EU location (4 weeks/year).

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end country-specific payroll delivery and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Steer operational payroll teams and act as main contact for clients, authorities, and partners.
  • Lead payroll implementations, transitions, client onboardings, SIT, UAT, and parallel runs.
  • Evolve country payroll templates, local solutions, and contribute to product development.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, quality initiatives, and deliver team training.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years advanced payroll experience, preferably in outsourcing/shared services
  • Expert knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (EC, ECP, PCC)
  • Deep understanding of local payroll, tax, and labour legislation
  • Fluent English and fluency in local country language
  • Strong ownership, stakeholder/client management, and ability to explain complex topics.
  • Structured, proactive style with resilience in high-pressure situations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with expat/impat payroll, split payroll, and shadow payroll.
