Permanent US work authorization required. Must be available for bi-annual travel to Montana corporate office.

What you will do

• Lead design in early-stage AI-enabled spaces, shaping interaction models and translating complex AI capabilities into intuitive experiences.
• Work iteratively to prioritize learning, contribute to durable UX foundations, patterns, and principles for broader AI adoption.
• Apply systems thinking to edge cases, failure modes, and trust implications in AI features, clarifying trade-offs with Product and Engineering.
• Conduct lightweight research including interviews and usability testing, partnering with UX Research for deeper needs.
• Elevate AI fluency in design organization by demonstrating tools, articulating limitations, and modeling responsible adoption.

Requirements

• Six or more years designing complex digital products or systems, including ambiguous 0-1 environments.
• Hands-on experience designing AI-assisted or algorithmically driven experiences, understanding generative AI capabilities and limitations.
• Strong interaction design and product thinking skills, ideally with map-based or spatially complex experiences.
• Ability to translate technical complexities into trustworthy interfaces amid evolving constraints.
• Clear communication and storytelling to align cross-functional partners. Portfolio demonstrating relevant work required.
