What you will do

• Analyze and review general ledger accounts for accuracy, closings, and journal entries.
• Work in all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research.
• Prepare various tax returns including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Partners, Managers, cross-functional teams, clients, and subordinates on ad-hoc assignments and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
• CPA or CPA candidate
• At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm
• Hybrid schedule: 9:00am – 5:30pm EST with increased hours for busy seasons; reliably commute or relocate to Woodbury, NY before starting
• Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (Preferred)
• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team, multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
