What you will do

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corps, C Corps, and trusts.
• Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities.
• Conduct tax research to stay current on federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide guidance and request necessary information.
• Mentor junior staff and manage multiple engagements and deadlines during peak tax seasons.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA required.
• 3–6+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.
• Must be located in or able to work from Charlotte, NC.
