Location: Downtown, Honolulu, HI. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence required 3-4 days per week. Out-of-state candidates welcome; relocation package possible for the right candidate.

Salary: $80,000 to $120,000

What you will do

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for corporate, partnership, S-Corp, and not-for-profit entities.
• Analyze IRS notices, draft responses, and perform technical research to resolve issues.
• Develop tax projections, estimates, and planning strategies to optimize client tax obligations.
• Supervise and train tax staff, delegate tasks, provide feedback, and ensure quality work.
• Build client relationships, communicate effectively, and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Manage engagements, monitor budgets, participate in department projects, and handle billing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field; 150 semester credits for CPA eligibility
• Current CPA license or passed CPA exam; Hawaii CPA highly preferred; AICPA membership if licensed
• Demonstrated knowledge of tax regulations, accounting procedures, research tools, and tax software.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, business acumen, and ability to supervise staff.
