What you will do

• Design foundational system architecture for AI-native product surfaces, including generation pipelines, data models, and evaluation frameworks.
• Lead cross-team technical strategy aligning product, AI, and infrastructure teams on architecture and execution.
• Establish organization-wide standards for AI product engineering, reliability, and iteration loops.
• Transform ambiguous problem spaces into scalable technical approaches and concrete execution plans.
• Influence engineering quality, system design, and product thinking across the entire organization.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development to increase engineering velocity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex systems.
• Proven track record of owning technical and product direction for large or ambiguous problem spaces.
• Deep expertise in system design, particularly for data-intensive or distributed systems.
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong product intuition to balance user experience, system constraints, and business impact.
• Must be based in or able to work from Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

• Experience building or experimenting with LLM-powered features (prompting, evaluation, RAG).
• Experience designing systems that balance latency, cost, and quality.
• Exposure to user feedback loops, experimentation, or evaluation frameworks.
