What you will do

• Analyze IRS and state tax notices and prepare accurate responses to determine required actions for resolution.
• Represent clients in negotiations with the IRS and state authorities to resolve penalties, notices, and audits.
• Conduct technical research to develop compliant responses and identify resolution opportunities.
• Identify and apply for penalty abatements, tax relief programs, and settlement options.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support integrated tax resolution strategies.
• Educate clients on notice triggers and compliance practices to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with IRS and state tax resolution strongly preferred.
• Location: Based in Springfield, MO.
