What you will do

• Architect and lead development of cross-platform mobile apps for wildfire detection and response.
• Own end-to-end delivery of new features from design to deployment.
• Champion code quality through reviews, best practices, and standards.
• Maintain codebase health by addressing technical debt and legacy improvements.
• Train web developers transitioning to mobile development.
• Evaluate and advocate for new tools, including GenAI-powered developer tools.

Requirements

• 5–10 years cross-platform mobile engineering experience with production apps.
• Proven deployment and maintenance of Android and iOS apps.
• Proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, Jest, and state management (Redux, Zustand, or Recoil).
• Expertise in design systems like Material Design and Material-UI.
• Strong debugging, integration with RESTful APIs.
• Clear communication in agile teams; comfort with GenAI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTML Canvas, frontend monorepos, Storybook, Mapbox, fullstack, or cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
