What you will do

• Conduct surveys and develop methodologies for annual reports and rankings.
• Collaborate with editors on research projects using survey and public data.
• Create data visualizations from surveys and public sources.
• Draft and present key research findings to reporters and editors.
• Combine, clean, and verify data from multiple sources.
• Manage datasets and work with Editorial and IT stakeholders on data management.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in data management, cleaning, and analysis (coursework counts)
• Expertise in quantitative analytical tools
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables)
• Familiarity with Python and/or R
• Experience with data visualization techniques
• Experience working with data of varying quality and sources
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences

Nice to have

• Legal industry research experience
• Familiarity with survey research methodologies
• Familiarity with Databricks
