What you will do

• Develop models for complex channels and signal processing algorithms.
• Run simulations, document results, and verify functions.
• Evaluate design alternatives and optimize performance metrics.
• Perform MATLAB code development and write specifications/test plans.
• Test and verify hardware in the lab.
• Review customer issues and collaborate with teams for improvements.

Requirements

• Masters or PhD in Engineering focused on digital signal processing, communication systems, or control systems.
• Experience with MATLAB.
• Knowledge of modem components: DAC/ADC, amplifiers, IIR/FIR filters, equalizers, feedback loops.
• Comfortable in ESD-protected lab with oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, etc.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of optical communication systems.
• Exposure to optical communications lab.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira/Confluence, Microsoft Office.
