Director, Strategic Planning

Director, Strategic Planning (Media): Leading integrated media planning on Health and Wellbeing accounts and expanding agency's strategic capabilities with an accent on high-impact strategies across customer journey balancing audience, channel, and context. Focus on deriving insights from research/tools, client advisory, and innovative media mix recommendations to drive KPIs and growth.

Location: USA - 100% Remote

Salary: $140,000-$150,000 base + 10% performance bonus (sales incentives up to 100%+ of base, no cap)

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning on key clients and advance media capabilities across the team
• Develop strategic media plans aligned with client business goals for share growth and profitability
• Partner with communications planners for alignment on audience, messages, and channels
• Produce and templatize outputs from planning tool suite; oversee training on consumer insights
• Contribute to C-level solution capabilities, tool partnerships, and consultancy on media mix
• Build client trust through data-driven expertise and storytelling

Requirements

• 10+ years media strategy and planning experience
• Experience across linear and digital channels, heavy focus on video and social
• Strong knowledge of industry planning/insights tools (e.g., NMI, Commspoint, Pathmatics, SimilarWeb)
• Expertise in media landscape and building client relationships
• Superior written/oral communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel occasionally for onsite meetings
