Location: Ottawa or Remote (US)
Salary: $114,100 - $182,300 annually (California: $158,500 - $253,300)

What you will do
- Define product strategy and multi-year roadmaps for optical and electrical interconnect technologies including co-packaged optics and advanced packaging.
- Lead commercialization of interfaces, technologies, and in-house components.
- Establish commercial offers, pricing structures, business cases, and secure approvals for new initiatives.
- Partner with marketing on product positioning, materials, presentations, data sheets, and competitive analyses.
- Serve as primary interface between engineering, sales, customers, and external technology partners.
- Assess customer needs, technology trends, regulations, and competition to guide roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years technical experience in telecommunications or component industry
- Expertise in high-speed interconnect technologies: co-packaged optics, near-packaged optics, active electrical/copper cables, coherent/direct detect, SerDes, PHYs, electro-optics
- Knowledge of optical/electrical interconnect architectures, emerging standards, and commercialization models (modules, bare die, chiplets)
- Experience defining SDKs, documentation, sales enablement; working with cross-functional teams on features/roadmaps
- Ability to translate requirements into specifications, RFI/RFP responses; strong communication across audiences; manage multiple initiatives independently
Nice to have
- Experience with direct detect and coherent optical technologies
- Direct interfacing with external technology partners
- Prior roles in product management, solutions architecture, technical marketing, FAE, or sales engineering
- Influencing product strategies across market models
- Global customer engagements, trade shows, industry forums
- Willingness to travel ~20% including international
