Lead Platform Engineer (OpenShift/DevOps): Design, implement, and support OpenShift, Azure Red Hat OpenShift and DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Public and Hybrid-Cloud-driven digital transformations with an accent on platform administration, cluster management, and infrastructure automation. Focus on building and maintaining clusters, developing pipelines, researching solutions, and providing hands-on production support.

Location: Remote work from home allowed but requires travel to office as business needs. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of assigned office (Windsor, CT; NYC; Atlanta, GA; or Minneapolis, MN).

Salary: $100,070 - $157,470 USD

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support DevOps, OpenShift, and Azure Red Hat OpenShift solutions for cloud-driven digital transformations.
• Build new and support existing Red Hat OpenShift and Azure Red Hat clusters/platforms.
• Develop new and maintain existing CI/CD DevOps pipelines.
• Provide hands-on administration, configuration, and support for the platform.
• Research and develop system solutions, evaluating products and vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and architects across the organization on medium-scale projects.
• Provide rotating on-call support for production infrastructure and business hours support for development systems.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting Kubernetes platforms, preferably Red Hat OpenShift and Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat/Istio Service Mesh.
• Extensive experience with containerization using Docker and Podman on heterogeneous platforms.
• Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Helm.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, Artifactory) and infrastructure automation.
• Strong knowledge of application servers (JBoss, JWS) and web servers (Apache, Nginx); experience tuning Java and .NET applications.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple teams for support, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Kiali.
• Experience in Ansible Automation platform.
• Certifications in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Azure Administration.
