Senior Project Scheduler (Automation): Create and maintain project schedules in collaboration with managers, teams, and subcontractors with an accent on task sequencing, progress monitoring, and earned value principles. Focus on analyzing variations, proposing remedial actions, exploiting performance opportunities, and supporting change orders through detailed reporting and forecasting.

Location: Banbury, United Kingdom (onsite with regular travel to customer and project sites, up to 100% site-based during critical phases). Full UK Driving Licence required.

What you will do

• Develop and generate project schedules aligned with standards, ensuring proper sequencing and task assignments.
• Gather and validate progress data from teams, subcontractors, and dependencies to maintain accurate schedules and reporting.
• Highlight issues, propose mitigations, and apply earned value analysis to improve schedule and financial forecasts.
• Analyze opportunities to enhance project performance, reduce risks, and support extensions or change orders.
• Contribute to PMO improvements, tooling, and standards for higher project delivery maturity.
• Support project managers and the PM community in scheduling activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years as Project Scheduler in automation, oil & gas, or construction.
• Experience with earned value, PERT analysis, Critical Chain, and schedule planning/management.
• Engineering or scientific background; degree or equivalent in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Project Server.
• PMP/APM or PMI-SP certification.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to influence external stakeholders.
