Solution Development Engineer

What you will do

• Interpret customer requirements for upgrade and extension projects on existing Dematic systems.
• Produce specifications, project solutions, layout drawings, programmes, costing sheets, and offer documents.
• Verify unit cycle times, system throughput, and initial dimensional requirements.
• Liaise with internal engineering departments and external subcontractors to develop project definitions.
• Conduct design risk assessments.

Requirements

• Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent experience (6-10 years relevant).
• Background in material handling equipment, focusing on case conveyors and sorters.
• Experience in designing and commissioning automated material handling systems, including mechanical design and layouts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project) and AutoCAD; System Design Application Software (MAESTRO).
• Ability to apply complex knowledge for mechanical estimates and discuss solutions with teams.
