What you will do

• Design and deploy production-ready ML models, specifically specializing in NLP and recommender systems.
• Build and maintain scalable AI systems using AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Manage the end-to-end ML pipeline including data ingestion, training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 1-3 AI Engineers, providing guidance on coding best practices and data governance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and executive leadership to align AI initiatives with organizational objectives.
• Ensure AI deliverables adhere to governance and compliance requirements, specifically student data privacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 6 years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform).
• Ability to clear a required background check.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps frameworks such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
• Prior experience in the EdTech sector or working with K12 education data.
• Experience in environments emphasizing responsible AI, ethical AI, or complex governance practices.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect.
