What you will do
- Scope, plan, and execute mission-level M&S studies using tools like AFSIM, ESAMS, Brawler, and Ansys STK.
- Build and refine physics-based models for sensors, communications, aircraft (including unmanned), weapons, and spacecraft.
- Apply rigorous statistical methodologies to simulation results to quantify measures of effectiveness.
- Develop Python-based analysis tools and pipelines for data processing, statistical analysis, and visualization.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and growth teams to translate operational questions into analytical approaches.
- Document findings in technical reports and present results to senior stakeholders, including flag/general officers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Aerospace/Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting defense, intelligence, or advanced technology programs.
- Extensive direct experience with combat simulations (AFSIM, ESAMS, Brawler, Ansys STK, or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in Python and MATLAB, including scientific computing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch).
- Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Comfortable working on Linux-based systems and writing scalable scripts.
Nice to have
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Expertise analyzing the full kill chain across multiple domains (air, space, electronic warfare).
- Deep expertise in radar sensor performance analysis and model validation.
- Experience designing large-scale Monte Carlo and DOE-driven simulation campaigns.
- Exposure to DIS networking and visualization tools like MAK VR-Forces or SIMDIS.
