Senior HR Generalist (Gamedev)

Senior HR Generalist (HR): Managing employee relations, workplace culture, and L&D programs for a growing game development studio with an accent on strategic HR partnership and compliance. Location: Hybrid (New Westminster, British Columbia) - Must work from the office at least 3 days a week

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Provide guidance on HR policies and resolve employee relations issues with fairness and timeliness.
• Design and deliver engaging training programs and professional development resources.
• Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and coaching.
• Develop and implement HR policies and programs regarding diversity, inclusion, and leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
• Track HR metrics and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within gaming, tech, or creative industries.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New Westminster office at least 3 days a week.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred) and HR metrics.
• Solid understanding of employment standards and HR best practices.
• Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
