What you will do

• Create landscapes using UE5’s sculpting, painting, foliage, and spline tools, as well as Gaea or World Machine.
• Design and implement comprehensive biomes, including rocks, decals, roads, and other natural elements.
• Build and manage landscape materials within the Unreal shader system.
• Develop high-quality materials using Quixel Mixer or Substance Designer.
• Utilize procedural tools like PCG or Houdini to efficiently place natural assets such as grass, trees, and rocks.
• Mentor junior 3D artists and collaborate with design, lighting, and technical teams to maintain art direction.

Requirements

• Proficiency with UE 5 and Perforce.
• Knowledge of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or 3Ds Max.
• Experience with terrain generation software like Gaea or World Machine.
• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine Landscape system and Material Graph.
• Understanding of biome asset creation (embankments, road modules, landscape patches, etc.).

Nice to have

• Experience creating materials in Quixel Mixer and Substance Designer.
• Knowledge of the Houdini plugin for Unreal Engine.
