Backend Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin (2+ days/week in office). Must be based in or willing to relocate to Berlin.

Salary: €65,000–€90,000 per year + 25% base salary in equity.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in a cross-functional process to implement new features.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using NestJS, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
• Develop user-facing frontend components using Vue 3 and Tailwind.
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and technical design.
• Participate in code reviews and implement software development best practices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development.
• Ability to balance technical trade-offs regarding scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments with a proactive approach to ownership.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Berlin, Germany.
