Salary: $160,000 — $220,000 CAD

What you will do

• Drive architectural vision and strategy to design powerful enterprise functionality for login flows and self-service management.
• Identify and implement strategic technical improvements to the codebase and lead major cross-team projects.
• Mentor and coach engineers on sound engineering practices and the building of scalable, reliable distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define the functionality and user experience of new features.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and evolving complex distributed systems with a focus on security.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) for building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Experience building full-stack applications, including SPAs with React and CSS.
• Advanced understanding of SQL databases, including query optimization and debugging for high-load performance.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud environments (AWS and Azure preferred).
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
• Experience with DevOps culture and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Background in security engineering and application security.
