Financial Analyst (Defence & Security)

TL;DR

Financial Analyst (FP&A/Defence & Security): Managing monthly forecast consolidation and financial reporting for the International segment with an accent on variance analysis and project controlling. Focus on optimizing BI systems, ensuring reporting accuracy, and supporting the annual budget cycle within a global environment.

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office in Budapest, Hungary)

What you will do

• Consolidate monthly forecasts for the D&S International segment and prepare structured reporting packages for senior management.
• Perform detailed financial variance analysis across actuals, forecasts, budgets, and prior-year results.
• Support consolidated project controlling and monitor key P&L and balance sheet items to ensure financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with BI experts to develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence systems.
• Coordinate with international teams and headquarters to align controlling standards and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, controlling, or project controlling.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and first experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Fluent English proficiency is required.
• Basic understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Budapest office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Hyperion Planning.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Previous international professional exposure.
