What you will do

• Execute test cases for UAS software and hardware to validate systems against internal and external requirements.
• Perform regression testing across software and hardware revisions and compare results against prior baselines.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure systems are designed according to test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, distinguishing between setup issues and system failures.
• Compile detailed reports including logs, videos, and images for full traceability.
• Implement automated testing procedures in collaboration with senior engineers to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a related field such as aerospace engineering, aviation, or UAS technology.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence due to ITAR/EAR restrictions.
• Eligibility for FAA Part 107 certification.
• Experience operating sUAS platforms (multi-rotor or fixed-wing) in a structured environment.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions and travel to test sites multiple times per week.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with PX4, Ardupilot, Mavlink, and QGroundControl.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and basic concepts of embedded systems, radio, or networking.
• Experience with WebODM, UgCS, or Pix4D.
• Exposure to executing or supporting automated test scripts.
