QA Automation Engineer

Salary: $115,500 - $170,000

What you will do

• Design and create test automation scripts across Web, CLI, and API using Playwright, Python, and TypeScript
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for reliable releases and regression detection
• Identify, debug, and fix defects in front-end and back-end codebases with impact analysis
• Develop performance and load testing strategies using Locust
• Conduct code reviews, establish PR standards, and implement unit/integration testing best practices
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to standardize processes and improve automation efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years creating automated test scripts for Web, CLI, and API applications
• Proficiency with Playwright and Python
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Ability to contribute bug fixes to front-end and back-end codebases
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and production-quality code
• Experience with Linux command line and scripting

Nice to have

• Strong Playwright/Python proficiency and scalable automation design
• Code review experience and production codebase contributions
• Creating AI agents and using AI tools like Cursor
• Load testing with Locust or JMeter
• Open-source contributions, especially as maintainer
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS) for test environments
