Senior Data Engineer: Designing and implementing scalable ELT pipelines and SQL-based data models for product analytics to drive insights on customer adoption and retention with an accent on data reliability, performance optimization, and standardization. Focus on building and optimizing data systems using dbt and Airflow, transforming raw data for reporting, and collaborating on company-wide data consistency.

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland or Mexico City, Mexico - must attend local office for part of the week

Salary: Poland 257,000–385,000 PLN (annualized base)

What you will do

• Collaborate with teams to define requirements and build scalable data models and pipelines.
• Develop and maintain ELT pipelines for reliable data delivery to analytics and reporting.
• Transform raw data into structured formats and optimize SQL models using dbt.
• Improve data processing performance, efficiency, and system scalability.
• Contribute to technical vision and innovative data solutions.
• Partner on standardizing product data modeling, schemas, and reporting across the company.

Requirements

• Background in quantitative field (analytics, engineering, math, statistics); BS/BA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL in big data environments.
• Extensive SQL experience in data modeling and analysis.
• Hands-on production experience with dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud databases like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake.
• Proven skills in performance testing, capacity planning, and cost optimization for complex pipelines.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
