What you will do
- Lead technical teams in delivering mission development across space, ground, launch segments, and in-orbit operations.
- Manage technical schedule, baseline, risks, and costs to ensure on-time program delivery.
- Define and analyze mission architectures, requirements, and engineering support at system level.
- Coordinate domain experts, subcontractors, and interfaces between subsystems, spacecraft-launch vehicle, and ground segment.
- Develop verification philosophy, support anomaly reviews, design reviews, in-orbit operations, and proposal writing.
- Interact with customers, partners, and support strategic direction and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- 10+ years in spacecraft industry, 5+ in technical leadership
- Experience in system requirements decomposition, trade studies, sizing/error budgets for spacecraft.
- Knowledge of spacecraft operations, ground systems, and full space program lifecycle.
- Expertise in 3+ areas: spacecraft design/analyses, ground segment, avionics/electronics, power, AOCS, propulsion, thermal/mechanical, FDIR, AIT, LEOP/IOT, manufacturing, launcher interfaces.
- Proven track record delivering complex space programs; comfortable with multidisciplinary teams and institutional/commercial customers like UKSA, ESA.
- Experience with LEO/MEO/GEO spacecraft system definition and design.
Nice to have
- MSc in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar.
- Team player, agile, flexible for geographically-distributed teams, great communicator.
