Embedded OS Engineer (Linux/Yocto): Owning the Ubuntu-based Linux firmware stack for the MK2 drone platform with an accent on Yocto/BitBake build systems, OS hardening, and CI/CD pipelines. What you will do

• Own and maintain the firmware build repository, including layer configuration and image recipes.
• Develop .bb recipes and .bbappend overlays for the Qualcomm QRB5165 BSP using git-diff patches.
• Manage and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, resolving agent performance and artifact staging issues.
• Configure systemd-networkd, udev rules, and boot dependency ordering for headless devices.
• Remediate security findings from Nessus assessments and harden SSH/PAM configurations.
• Profile and diagnose boot sequences and memory pressure on ARM64 embedded hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded Linux engineering experience with direct ownership of Yocto/BitBake systems.
• Deep knowledge of systemd service units, bash scripting, and Ubuntu on ARM64 platforms.
• Experience with Jenkins pipeline scripting and Docker-in-Docker build environments.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required due to ITAR/EAR restrictions.
• Ability to navigate industrial facilities and lift equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qualcomm QRB5165 or similar robotics/drone SoC platforms.
• Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, and Python Flask for fleet monitoring and tooling.
• Knowledge of ADB (Android Debug Bridge) workflows and AWS Cloud management.
• Experience with radio licensing and MAC-based device authentication.
